I’m so excited today, I can hardly sit still! In just the first three days of this week so much has happened. I’m grateful and thrilled beyond belief and can hardly wait to share it with you, my friend.
On Sunday, in Roanoke, Virginia, my dream of learning Reiki began. Three of us sat in Yvette’s spirit room as she patiently and thoroughly went through the training with us. I feel lighter and energized. I am excited for the next steps so that I might incorporate some Reiki into my coaching practice to help grief move through our bodies. My instructor, Yvette LeFlore will be a guest on my podcast later this month.
Yvette told us that we might expect to have some unusual dreams and feelings after the training and attunements. She was right! Each night since I have remembered one. They were both odd, a little disturbing and upon further reflection both were humorous as well as calming. |

On Monday I had a beautiful drive across the state of Virginia from Roanoke to Norfolk to my daughter, Nina’s house. My grandson, Hunter, who is almost eight had a cub scout blue and gold banquet and cake baking contest. He’s a brand new cub scout and was really excited for his first banquet and competition. He and his mom baked and decorated a fantastic cake, if I may say so. The theme was Mine Craft. In the car on the way to the banquet he said, “wouldn’t it be amazing if the new kid won the cake contest?” He DID!!! Hunter won first prize with a perfect score! |

Right – The cake – homage to Mine Craft? Each square was individually cut from home made fondant and applied to Oreo frosting over chocolate cake. Hunter also made each of the characters in paper! |
